Bio
Kula Voncille was born in Richmond, VA and is the embodiment of the mantra, "VA is for Lovers and Hustlers."  Kula "Kueen Kong" Voncille has always been a student of hip hop but for Kula, 2014 was the year she started to chase her own glory.  Kula Von won the Soul Logistic Radio Gong Show Contest and opened for the legendary Slick Rick.

 Kula's musical influences include, but not limited to Eminem, Lauryn Hill, J. Cole, T.I. and Redman.  When people describe her lyrical skills, she will kick an a capella showing you rather than telling you!

 Kula Voncille has performed at various prestigious venues throughout Virginia such as Ma Michele Cafe and Catering, Maple Bourbon, 
The Camel, The Top, VCUs International Contemporary Arts Building, 
The Well Art Gallery, The Beauty and Barber Fashion Show.  Kula Voncille has also performed at Fashion Shows in Atlanta, as well as industry parties and open mixes in New York and North Carolina.

Host of CUPPA TIME retracts unfavorable review of KULA VONCILLE's HOBOSEXUAL SINGLE

  Popular Live Stream personality Christina White , the host of the morning live stream show Cuppa Time reviewed Kula Voncille's viral hit single "Hobosexual".  As the song played, the host skipped the song's introduction, a playful skit that describes the promise of the song and gives a brief definition of the term "Hobosexual" and then proceeded to play the rest of the track.  After talking through the first verse, the host ended the song after the hook.  Although the host cited that she loves the artist's (Kula Voncille) voice and the beat she just wasn't feeling what the song was about (to paraphrase).  Later, off the record the host of the hit live stream Cuppa Time that after listening to the song in it's entirety at a later time and realizing the theme behind the lyrics, Christina stated that she in fact enjoyed the song and is looking forward to hearing more from Kula Voncille in the future!!   Listen to the Cuppa Time live stream at th...
